Dear Primary Children,

How exciting that our theme for April is - I will Follow the Prophet. Our scripture-

"Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets" (Amos 3:7)

is a good reminder that the Lord will not leave us without a prophet. I have a testimony of this church and that God is at the center. It is wonderful to know that with the sad passing of our beloved Prophet Gordon B. Hinckley the Lord will provide for his church. Having a prophet that leads and guides the world through direct revelation from God, sets our church apart from others. I know that God works through "His servants the prophets" to give us the guidance and help we need to return to Him.

Our new Prophet, Thomas S. Monson is the Lord's servant. He is the leader of the Lord's Church today, and as we follow his words of counsel we will be following the Lord. It is my testimony that the Lord loves us, we are each sons and daughter of God. He wants us to be happy here on earth and to return to Him someday. That is why he blesses us with a Prophet to speak His words, that we might come unto Him.

Just a reminder for our primary parents...we are encouraging the children to memorize the monthly scriptures (see primary newsletters) and the thirteen Articles of Faith this year. Come check out our primary room to see how these memorizations are helping to decorate our room. Please encourage them and work with them too. It is a great learning time for the whole family.

Congratulations to Sydney Gladwell who was baptized in March and Jared Wise who will be baptized in April. We are so proud of you!

Faith in God (for our children 8-12) is now becoming fully integrated with the Cub Scouting program and activity days program. As parents it would be great to review the Faith in God booklet with your child to see where he/she stand s with the program and to encourage them to attend their activities (and bring friends). It is less intimidating than it looks, and lots of fun!
