Recommendations

Places to go on the Web.

There's this design inspired blog, Oh Happy Day, I love to visit. She lives in San Francisco and she has made a goal to try to eat out once a week or so, to enjoy what the city offers. She also has a sister, Design Mom, who blogs, and is extremely talented with design. She blogs about how design and motherhood intersect. Both ladies are members of the Church. When you have some time - check them out.

Here are a few more food recommendations.

Chantara Thai Cuisine
This is where we go when we need a Thai/curry fix. Beautiful setting. Love the colors and the decor. Wait staff is entertaining - if you order too much they let you know.

Mama Ann's Deli & Bakery
Mama Ann's has fabulous sandwiches. My favorite is the Gondola. It uses the Boar's Head chicken...a little spice...to give it a little kick. Add an antipasto with the sandwich and it's a perfect picnic in Town Center. Their lasagna, and pizzas are great for a take home meal. We recently tried their tomato pesto focacia. It was divine. Their garlic bread is a nice touch to a take-home dinner too. We love the local feel.

Sartory Coffee
Fantastic local cafe - go for the hot chocolate, which is creamy, the chocolate cake is to die for...and did I tell you they serve delicious food? The salads are fresh and flavorful. Their sandwiches are scrumptious. If you like live music they have that here too.

Sky Sushi
Always fun, upbeat and inviting. If you're looking for fresh, delicious sushi and rolls - this is the place...that's closer than Mikuni's. A nice place for sushi, and feeling tres chic. They make fantastic rolls. The wait staff is impeccable.

Squeeze Inn
This dive was reviewed by Guy Fieri on his Food Network show. If you're a burger lover... or even a every 6-month burger gal like me, you'll enjoy it. This place off of Fruitridge Road in Sacramento is always jam-packed with people waiting for the burgers and fries. The way the cheese is perfectly crispy on the burger is worth the extra gym time.
