Congrats Eagle Scouts

* Brady Garrett, Troop 529 & Senior at ORHS. Brady's project was collecting school supply donations from El Dorado Hills citizens and church members and completing 135 back pack kits for needy children that were donated to and distributed by the Folsom Twin Lakes Food Bank.

* Chase Pearson, Troop 529 & Senior at ORHS. Chase's project was to build storage shelves for the Chicks In Crisis Women's Shelter, a shelter for training and protection of women and their newborn babies. Chase also collected donations of needed baby items for the shelter such as homemade baby blankets, baby clothes, diapers, etc..

* Cole Roberts, Troop 728 & Senior at ORHS. Cole found out that young men in Zambia, Africa were lacking appropriate church attire or no church attire. Some boys were actually exchanging church shirts on the way home from church with those going to church that had none. He also found an organization Mothers without Borders to personally deliver the shirts to the boys in Africa. Cole collected over two hundred white shirts for those young men in Zambia, Africa.

* Kyle Sopp, Troop 528 & Sophmore at ORHS. Kyle's project was at the Bryant Cemetery in Shingle Springs and the transcriptions and pictures were posted online at the Tombstone Transcription Project for El Dorado County http://usgwtombstones.org/california/eldorado.html and on www.findagrave.com. He worked with Trevor Thomas at EDH Genealogy.

* Brett Thompson, Troop 528 & Senior at ORHS. Brett's project consisted of collecting donations of material to make children's blankets. Over 100 blankets were made by church members and ORHS football players and donated to The Center for Violence Free Relationships in Placerville California. One of the programs at the center is called, "The Happiest Babies on the Block". The flannel receiving blankets were made especially for this program and will be distributed throughout the county as needed.
